What is ADHD? According to Kidshealth.org this disorder was called Attention Deficit Disorder is now called ADHD, and is broken down into three subtypes, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention. Co-morbidities are common disorders likely to accompany ADHD in some patients such as O.D.D., Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and C.D., Conduct Disorder, which is the most severe of the two co-morbidities and hardest to treat. Signs and Symptoms of ADHD are numerous and must all be taken in account when diagnosing. All over the globe, ADHD is an illness affecting millions of children, most significantly the male gender and not just children, adults too. There are different medications, behavioral treatments, diets and such as Adderall, Strattera, Ritalin, and milk (casein) free diet. ADHD is characterized by, to name a few, inability to sit still, easily distracted and uncontrollable impulsivity. Some other symptoms are excessive running, talking, and difficulty playing quietly and following instructions. Two other disorders called Co-morbidities can also present in the affected person, the first one is O.D.D. Oppositional Defiant Disorder. This disorder is characterized as starting before eight years old and no later than early adolescence some symptoms are easily annoying others and being annoyed easily by others, defiance, and losing one’s temper a lot. C.D., Conduct Disorder, is harder to treat and more severe, some symptoms are as follows, aggression toward others and a serious rule violation in all aspect of life, this disorder is rare.
